A CPR course certifies you in the unit HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation: responding to an unresponsive casualty using the DRSABCD action plan, performing compressions and rescue breaths on adults, children and infants, and using an automated external defibrillator. The practical session is spent on the manikins — compression depth and rate, full chest recoil, and working through resuscitation scenarios.
Certification is nationally recognised, delivered on behalf of Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909, and the CPR component is recommended for renewal every 12 months in line with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.
